Last minute Halloween makeup tutorial

I wanted to share today a last-minute halloween makeup tutorial. It is simple and suitable for Halloween celebrations! I couldn’t help making at one creepy look for this year’s Halloween makeup post! At least, it’s not creepier than the ones I made before, right? Check them out here. 😉 I think this last-minute halloween makeup tutorial is a great idea for those who work during the day and want to do something “fun” on the day of Halloween. It doesn’t require a lot of props since I only add a few spiders and is worn with a simple black dress from Pink Blush. When I was at Walmart, I saw these spider decorations (for less than $3) to show to my kids the next day. They inspired me to create this makeup look which features soft smokey eyes and a dark lip shade. If you’d like to learn how to create this look, scroll down. 🙂

STEP 1 Use moisturizer to massage and smooth out your skin. Wait a few seconds for it to absorb.

STEP 2 Apply foundation all over your face. I use a buildable foundation that covers my red spot on my nose and even dark eye circles. I like how this foundation is not heavy or makes my face look oily.

STEP 3 I realize I should not be putting foundation on yet since this will be a smokey eyes look, and powder might fall on my under eyes. That is why I skip concealer first and instead apply it on my eyelids as the base for my eyeshadow. I used Touch up Concealer Pen.

STEP 4 I use a matte bronzer by using a blending brush to contour my crease area. This gives some depth to the eye makeup look.

STEP 5 By using a flat brush, I apply the shade of “Topaz” on my lids. Don’t worry if it has harsh edges since we will blend it later.

STEP 6 I use the shade “Garnet” from this palette, that has a cranberry shade, to add on the crease. Then, I blend it with a shade of “Topaz”. Use a clean brush to brush off harsh edges.

STEP 7 What I love about this palette is that they provide eyeliner powder! I use the “Onyx” with a small angled brush to apply and give definition to my lash line.

STEP 8 To make it more of a smoky eye look, I apply the “smoky quartz” on the outer corner of my eyes and brush upwards to blend on the crease area. You may add more if you prefer to make your smokey eye look more dark.

STEP 9 Curl your lashes and use your mascara. My current favorite mascara is this lengthening one from Beautycounter.

STEP 10 After you are done with the eyeshadow, you may apply concealer to your under eyes. I also apply some “topaz” and “garnet” on the lower lash line and finish it up with “rosebud” highlighter on the tear duct.

STEP 11 Apply eyebrow pencil to your brows.

This palette is the newest eyeshadow palette of Beautycounter Holiday collection. It has a removable mirror (I love it!)! I really love how they added a highlighter and even eyeliner powder to this palette. It has 7 eyeshadows (which are pigmented and long-wearing), 1 eyeliner powder and 3 highlighters.

To finish up this look, I use a matte bronzer to contour my cheekbones and some on the side of my nose. I also apply highlighter from the palette using the shade of “Amber” and “rose gold”. I decided to use a darker shade of lipstick called “9 to 5.” It is one of the shades from the Beautycounter lip set. This shade is my current favorite for this fall, since it has a touch of cranberry shade. I’m also in love with the packaging!

To apply the spider, I used false lash glue and waited a few seconds before applying it to my skin, so it would stick well.

I  hope you had fun with this tutorial as much as I did!
